Daytona RC Offroad Toys For Tots Race 12/14/14

Had a good time at Daytona Offroad R/C racing park today for the Toys For Tots race. Allen ran his Dialed-RC Hobbies Serpent Ebuggy and 2wd B5 Buggy. He had ran decent all day but had a rough time in the Ebuggy class. Made it starting first in the Ebuggy B-Main. Was running 1st and had a few mistakes which you know does not take much to get passed when that happens. So ended with a 4th place finish in B-main and just not enough to get into the A-main, But in all the Ebuggy ran alot better after switching tires to Proline Blockades.

The 2wd Buggy struggled all day with setup and track conditions and finishing last in the 2 qualifying races. Come to the A-main that would put Allen starting last in the main race. Well with working on the car and changing to different tires for the main sure helped out alot with him taking a 4th place finish in the A-main.

We would like to thank our sponsors Dialed-RC Hobbies, Sparkle N Shine Detail, River Rat RC Track, Lori Kosier and Ashlea Kosier

River Rat Raceways 1st Annual Racers Appreciation

River Rat Raceway July 26th

Went to River Rat Raceways 1st Annual Racers Appreciation Day all free racing on offroad and oval and free cook out. Great time to do some testing with the new Intech Er-12. It felt really good, but had to change out the servo after a run. The Hitec I was using just was not turn one way enough for some reason. So we put in the Savox and that fixed it all. Running in the 2nd round of qualifying it was alot better with turning and the car was running smooth and jumping and landing really nice, But coming down the back stretch car came to a sliding stop and come to find out the motor locked up. Beside the servo and motor car felt really nice. Got new motor put in and ready to go, but mother nature had different plans for us. ThanksIntech Racing USA and Vpprousa Racing

Wounded Warriors Charity Race at Daytona Strickland RC Park

 May 18, 2014 at 10:24pm

We headed out to Daytona Stricklands RC Park for the Wounded Warriors Charity Race. With over 150 entries it was a great turn out for the event. Allen had decided he wanted to run 2wd Buggy Stock and E-Buggy. With track conditions we decided to try out the VP Strickers and Turbo Trax on the rear for the 2wd buggy and Square Ribs on front. The Strickers seemed to work well for him. The only problem he had from keeping him from the front all day was his ball cups kept popping off in both qualifiers. In the main he started 2nd to last and was doing good until got involved in a small pile up. Even with doing all that in the main he finished 8th in the main.

E-buggy we ran VP Gripz and they were holding up really good too on the track. That was the biggest class of the day with about 40 entries I think. In the 1st qualifier Allens right rear tire came off with only a few laps left. In 2nd qualifier Allen finished 7th. Track was kinda slick and took a bit for him to get use to. By Mains Allen had only made it to the D-main with the wheel coming off in the 1st qual and finishing 7th in 2nd qual. Well again he was doing well in his main and getting up there and then coming around the turn for the front stretch he broke his rear pin that holds the hex on for the rim and tire comes off again ending his race early. Hoping for better results next race. Over all we had alot of fun at this race with alot of great people for and awesome charity. Thanks Daytona Strickland RC Park for the event and also thanks to VP Pro USA, North Florida Hobbies, D&R Racing & Chassis and Sparkle N Shine Detail.
